thanks for your comments. have read SSH and others. Do not feel uncomfortable at levels $10/20 on down. [/ QUOTE ] You are playing 10/20? Stick to low stakes until you build a roll to play higher. It makes sense that you are in the red if you are still learning to play and playing that high of stakes. |

Hi DR. Al, glad you are back, did you have a nice holiday?
Why is it that every poker player thinks He is a great player? I guess you have to have some confidence or you wouldn't put your money at risk, but the biggest fish in the world believes he is good at poker. |

writing style strange. kinda like it though. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. Very unique, almost alien in structure. It's like one of the servers at Party wrote him back. To answer ras, no they're not rigged. When you read more literature on the game you will see more references to streaks, swings in bankroll, the differences between low limits, middle limit and upper limit players, etc. You stick with playable starting hands, pay careful attention to your position and you will find your luck will change. Also, keep player notes. Those guys who draw to three outs to beat you on the river, without an enormous pot to make their bets profitable, are the ones you want to play with. Dont avoid them; make friends. |

Hiya -
Please read this thread: A Simple Experiment The poker sites are not out to get you. No one can be cheating that well. Stuff like this happens. The better you play the more "bad beats" you will take... I can keep going. On FoxSports Net there was the Championship Poker at the Plaza where top pros took bad beats and gave bad beats all through the tournament. They just walked away when they lost. If your money is there when you have the best of it, and you know you made the correct plays at the correct times, the only other thing YOU have control over is your emotion - nothing else. PB |
