realistically, the kid in the second story can't be a racist. He has white friends.

Your drawing an illogical conclusion. Just because he has at least one white friend in no way means that he doesn't make racist generalizations.

[/ QUOTE ]yeah, I have a black friend, and I hate black people.

The Dude makes a very good point.

When I was in the Army I saw first-hand how Black people use the race card. They know they do it. We know they do it. Sometimes they even laugh about it white guys they are friends with.

I'm not saying they aren't discriminated against, but many times they just play games to get over.

I'm sorry. I forgot the <sarcasm> </sarcasm> tags. I won't make the mistake in the future.

...and one very clear case of 'wrong forum!'

However, this thread is fun.

FWIW I think the first guy isn't demonstrably racist, hell, he might even believe he was discriminated against. I guess he feels he should have got the job because he was qualified. Maybe the casino doesn't like to hire players, who knows.

The second guy, not enough info. Was the cook white or black? Did he give the kid a dirty look? etc. Kid is definitely a jackass though...

I think he's kidding. That sounded a lot like the "I can't be prejudiced against XXXXX, some of my best friends are XXXXX!" line.

This kind of racism runs rampant in the main stream media.

Think about how they treat Condi Rice, or Miguel Estrada, or Janice Rogers Brown, or Clarence Thomas. And they deliberately ignore people like J.C Watts.

The media is racist against anyone who does not fit their stereotypical image.
