Hmm I'm not sure about your flop play, but I'll read what others have written.

I am undecided as to free card or trying to win the pot on the flop is the best play.

This flop is an auto-bet for me. Value bet the river but you knew that.

Since you raise the turn and were checked to, a bet on the river is a good idea. I am uneasy calling it a value bet though, to me it would be more of a semi-bluff. Any flush, even 3 high beats you.
