Kevin Nealon = worst poker announcer ever?

I found his partner, Evelyn Ng, to be even more annoying. (I know that's going to get flamed by half the guys on this forum, because she is like SO HOT, dude!! Well, she was like off-screen, dude, and you could hear her but not see her.) She speaks in a too-fast monotone, and does not add any player insight to the commentary.

When Kathy Liebert folded 72o, all Ng said was, "The worst hand in poker." Typical of the commentary.

I won't flame you, but Evelyn Ng is a pretty knowledgable poker player. It's unfortunate she got involved with GSN.

Nealon was horrible, reminded me of Jesse May during the Showdown at the Sands. WOW Kathy has flopped a FULL HOUSE.

Evelyn looked hot. Too bad she seemed like she just learned poker yesterday.

There were some interesting hands. That Carlos bluff turned runner runner straight was an amazing hand. Too bad there was noone there to analyize the play. Carlos's representing a full house when Kathy had the nut straight was kind of interesting.

And with Evelyn being as tight as she is at least she was able to give some insight to a tight players mind.

I also found the graphics hard to read. The upside is that there will probably be very little all-in poker left. Because there are five more episodes and only 10 players left. This could mean some interesting **gasp** post flop play. With Evelyn Ng and Kevin Nealon.

Thats what I meant. For a good player she really seemed to struggle to convey simple poker concepts to a mass audience.

Maybe she will improve as the show continues, hopefully becoming more comfortable. Sometimes that's all it takes.

I can't wait to see this on TV. I think Kevin Nealon is a very funny guy, so I hope he is making good comments.

On the flip side however, you do really need some good poker commentary to go along with the broadcast.

Along those lines, you need some credibility when it comes to analyzing plays and hands. Now, I don't know how Evybabee did, but I really hope she had some good - or at the very least - SOUND insight. She is smoking hot, and it would be a shame for her to take a bad rap for this endeavor. More Evelyn is NOT a bad thing. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

By the way, unless its like, Howard Lederer doing color, no one will be satisfied with the commentary anyways. [img]/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]
