Re: Time\'s Person of the Year
Naw, you guys aren't a spineless country like Spain. I think England is right behind the U.S. as the least likely country to be attacked any time soon.

Re: Time\'s Person of the Year

Spain rules. [/ QUOTE ]I am sure its a nice place to go visit, but England is a better country. For all the jokes we Americans make about France and Germany, those two countries are right up their with the U.S. and England as being very unlikely to be attacked any time soon. Part of me thinks AQ has "learned" a lesson, that when you attack a country(especially one with a massive military), you basically [censored] yourself. BTW, I voted for GWB. Tony Blair's first responsibility is to those people at home, not to a foreign country, ally or not. [/ QUOTE ] And yet people feel the need to apologize to the world because we didn't elect who they wanted us to. |

Re: Time\'s Person of the Year
Clinton got 43% of the vote in '92, I just got 51% this year.
Will I get a "puff" cover like Clinton got then? |

Re: Time\'s Person of the Year
why do you keep saying this? In 1992, Perot was a viable candidate, this year Nader wasn't.

Tony Blair for standing by his ally despite pressure at home. [/ QUOTE ] I think Tony Blair would be a more logical choice than any of the current choices in GWB's post. |

Re: Time\'s Person of the Year
Bill Clinton won his first election by 202 Electoral votes.
Bill Clinton won his second election by 220 Electoral votes. You won your second election by 34 Electoral votes. In your first election you were behind by 23 Electoral votes until the Supreme Court forced Florida to award it's votes to you. |
