How long till a black guy wins the WSOP?

During the 8-10 trips to a B&M I've made, I would say that 90% of the black people I played with were fairly old, very loose-passive, and really had no idea what they were doing, probably (hopefully) there for entertainment more than any profit. Of course, 90% of everyone there ($3-6) is bad, but the white people strike me as more LAG. I do remember one black woman who was quite good; she managed a true sandbag (call-reraise) with AA twice (I believe pf and turn).

This is a statistically insignificant sample.

How Long Until A Black Guy Makes GrandMaster? The first Black GM was finally made a couple years back - his name was Maurice Ashley. It takes time, given the US is predominently white statistically it's more likely a white person will win.

Not everything will always be statistically balanced.

Exhibit A: The NBA.

Exhibit B: The NHL.

It's not as simple as saying 15% of our country is black, therefore, why aren't 15% of the champions of poker black. There are a myriad of factors.

Plus, in the biggest tournament in the history of the world, the guy who came in second (David Williams) was, in fact, black.

i've been told by my "black" teacher that the term "black" is acceptable, as long as we label ourselves as "whites." I personally am not sure why it would be offensive. I don't want anyone calling me "that Caucasian kid"
