Give it your best shot. We have been under constant attack for 2,000 years.

Ahh yes. When you were victimized during the Crusades...

Default The Country of Christ

[ QUOTE ]
This has gone to far. A war in America is needed against idiocy, against bible thumpers.

[/ QUOTE ]

America is a country founded on Christian values. If you attack Christianity, you attack the values that have made the USA the great nation that it is. The great George Bush is the protector of these values. America is in good hands. Be well.

I can usually just ignore christians, except when they go on about there persecution complex. That irks me the most. I think every type of people throughout the world have been persecuted as some place some time, christians are not special.

Default But is it +EV?

It might be plus EV if you fear that the fundamentalist Christians will eventually shut down all legal card rooms and start prosecuting online poker players.

However, I'd estimate that the probability of that happening to be sufficiently low that the time spent attacking Christians would be better spent on improving your game; the opportunity cost of waging war seems pretty immense.

Seriously, this topic relates to the psychology of poker how?

"I suppose you could leave America"

He never said that he thought the christians should leave America. He said he wanted to try and influence their beliefs by means of free speech, a very "American" concept. In my opinion, his point is trying to show he does not feel morally wrong imposing his beliefs on christians because they have attempted the same tactic on him.

The funny thing about that is that it was hundreds of years ago. Are there still Christian zealots? Sure, there are zealots in any kind of ideology, as evidenced by this thread alone. But at least you can say that there isn't an organized, mainstream school of thought that tells Christians to go and kill another religion. I'm sure none of the anti-Christians in this thread would ever say the same things about Muslims. And I'm not even a Christian.
