Just to clarify, my suggestion of betting only 1/2 to 1/3 of the pot was not to be more cautious. It was to provide a greater enticement for the person to call my bet. He is more likely to call a smaller bet than a pot-size bet. Plus, it could be interpreted as a sign of weakness making him believe that perhaps you missed the flop with AK or have a lower pocket pair. He might very well raise you and this is exactly what you want. People get into a lot of trouble with TPTK. If you're behind (because he has a set), oh well. The question is how do we get as much money in the pot as possible without giving him a free card. That's my thinking behind a 1/2 pot-size bet.
