Actually B&M, I am fine...even when I lose to a fool wearing sunglasses with an unlit cigarrette in his mouth.

I'm very gregarious and get along with people very well. At the B&M, I see they are normal people for the most part and like them.

Its mostly an online thing.

Maybe you play at Party too much. They are a rather stiff bunch.

Huh. "Stiff" is not a word I'd use to describe any collection of poker players, and the modal advertisers on poker TV shows would seem to support my hypothesis.

Well those Party folks seem to hold their arms out straight and never move em. Sorta like they were kin to GI Joe's that you see at the toy store.

Maybe its the great deal of luck in between starting hands and what happens on the flop?

Maybe its because I consider the other games to be more skillful?

Maybe you could elaborate on these 2 specifically because I consider the opposite to be true.

My pleasure..

1)In Hold'em, after your first bet you get to see 3 new cards. In Stud, you only get 1 more card at a time. Early on, there is definitely a great deal of luck in Hold'em vs Stud. That's why you see alot of preflop maniacs in Hold'em. You don't see really see the same type of scumbags in stud games. They will lose too fast, before they get too many free drinks.

2)This one is more debateable, but I consider Stud and Stud8b to be the most skillful games. Hand values adjust fast according to # of players and the cards seen. I also think other skills such as hand reading and deception are more important in these games. Split pot games present many other concepts to consider.

Am I alone here....no backers? lol
