I don't really have a big need to get to that river. I mean, it's possible you have the BB beat and he's just betting out because everyone checked the flop, but I think that it would be very hard to determine how often that happens very often given the preflop action and board.

What's your read on him?

I've seen players check through overpairs on monotone boards looking for a safe turn card. Clearly not the correct decision but one that I've seen before.
