Ordered a 2001FP on October 19th and it was in my house on October 22! Weird that some have mulitble bad experiences, I have mulitple great experiences and wont buy from anyone else.

wow, I'm feeling lucky. My system with 2 2001fp's shipped a day early on the 20th and got to my house on the 22nd.

yeah, mine shipped the 20th, they took the money out the 21st, got it the 22nd.

I ordered a 2001 on Thursday and got email verification it was shipped yesterday.

Dell can't bill a credit card until an order ships. In the case of monitors and flat panels since they are pre built they are actually stored with a shipper. Airborne has most of them, but I'm willing to bet that UPS and Fedex likely have stockpiles too. So in most cases with monitors the shipper moves the product from their hub and it beats the billing.

With all the sales running on 20" LCD's I would not be suprised to find out they are running short on them. If they do lead times to the general public will start to rise so they can maintain supply to their top accounts.

I have two of the 20" displays myself, trust me it's worth the wait.

Well I'm definately going to wait, they could tell me they wouldn't have it for two months and I'd wait for the price I got. When it is commonly known that they make the best screen at that size, and there is nowhere else to get it, what can we do? [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
