You know, I could really go for a nice Sox blowout victory. Having the Sox put up 8 in the first three innings and cruise to a 10-2 or so victory would do my heart and stomach a lot of good.

If we must go another 14, though, that's fine - just get me that 'W'.

Schilling- No way he can pitch as bad as he did

He ain't even gonna feel it after they shoot his leg full of horse tranquilizer.

I am not familiar with the full Sox roster but are there any alternatives to Damon at this point? He has contributed nothing up to this point in the ALCS. He is fortunate the Yankees didn't score in the top of the inning following his horrible attempt at a bunt. Or is the potential replacement for Damon just not that attractive an option?

I don't think there is a viable option for Damon. I say keep him in because he plays good D, and runs the bases well, when he gets on.

Viable? Sure there is, Kapler and Roberts.

Likely? No way. He will start/finish.

I am sorry but Roberts and Kapler are nothing more than role fillers. They pinch hit or run and play late inning defense, they do not start. So starting them in a potentially season ending playoff game is not a vaible choice.

Damon is just in a funk and is due to blow up in either this game or if neccesary, game 7.

You are right. To use Roberts as anything but a situational weapon would be crazy after the boost he gave the Sox late in the last 2 games. He destroyed Gordon's concentration last night just by being on base. You've got to love having a guy like that on your team.

Viable to me is somebody thats not a liability, which neither one of them are.

I agree with you 100%, Damon MUST start. Its baseball, slumps happen, and they also end. Eventually

There is like 0% chance that Damon doesnt play tonight.
