Ill be looking forward to seeing you at the WSOP next year.

Assuming an 8 handed game the first column is the percentage of having an X or higher being the bring in, the second column is the odds of having exactly an X being the bring in. If a number is included without a % sign then that is the number of times in 752,538,150 that the event will occur.

Thanks. Does it hold good for both Five Card Stud and Seven Card Stud? Did you take the likelihood of any given card being dealt as a hole card because that would invalidate the results for one or other forms of Stud? or did you just ignore that aspect of it? Once again, thanks for the math stuff. Yours, Al Mirpuri |

I didn't take into account your hole cards since they weren't specified but this calculation is valid if you don't peek at your hole cards before the up cards are dealt : ). These calculations are valid for 5-card stud also since the number of hole cards is irrelevent to the calculation. The math is based on taking the total number of ways that you can pull 8 cards out of 52 and comparing it to the number of ways to can pull 8 cards less than X from 52.

i was playing yesterday 8 handed, T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] was bring in. funny thing about the hand, i had the only ace showing (split aces), two kings were out and there was one to my immediate right that completed to $15, i raised to $30 all fold to K who called. on 6th, K catches another K, my aces up scoop. K said he didnt believe i had aces.
