Does a 3 or T give you the best hand if you hit? I'm talking about the turn raise. Or do you think the your pair is good? I'm learning here.

Plus he may have the best hand already and picked up a flush draw on the turn. I like the whole hand.

looks standard but I guess it depends on what SB would bet into 6 opponents with.

i really wanted to share these hands with all of you. how do you think i did?

very first hand, excellent game. i have Th3h and i posted in the cutoff so i have a small bet in already. some people limp and i check and some other people come in and 7 of us see a flop.

Ts6h5c. sb bets, bb calls, two others call, i call. button folds. 5 of us.

the turn is 7h. sb bets, bb calls, some lady calls, i raise, sb folds, bb and lady call.

the river is Qc. checked to me and i check.

what do you think of that?

[/ QUOTE ]

i like the way you played 100%. as i would have done exactly the same thing.

while that's true, i'd probably still raise in this situation close to 100%. don't forget the turn is also a straight-completing-card in SB's eyes. so even if SB's betting standard into 6 people is very high, you are still not likely to be 3 betted (right spellin'?) by him. and with the flush draw (assuming best flush draw), Mike was actually making a value raise, even if his hand wasn't currently best, IMO.

i lost this one. the bb had Kh8h for a ton of outs against me and the lady who won had Q8s for turned open ender, rivered top pair. im trying to figure out why she was in on the flop i think she had a backdoor flush draw or something. whatever she won and i felt really good about the way i played the hand, the flop call/turn raise combo being the crux of the hand. glad you all felt the same.
