You can get a list of all California cardrooms...

Very helpful, thank you.

On Sundays Chumash spreads a 10/20 game, usually after the Friday-Saturday NL game breaks up and people get busted out of the weekend tourney.

There are a number of *small* card rooms just off the 101 in Ventura, Oceano, Grover Beach, Paso Robles and Salinas. The only one I have been to is the Player's Club in Ventura. They usually spread 2-3 tables, including Dealer's choice (casino games only, including Razz, Pineapple and a variant of Omaha with five cards in your hand!). Very nice atmosphere, nice breakfast but only if you're there at 10 am. They use props to keep the games going.

The big casinos along the way are in San Jose; Garden City on Saratoga off the 280 (never been) and Bay 101 off the 101 (duh) Brokaw St exit near the airport. Bay 101 has a lot of aggressive (maniacal?) players at all limits up to 6-12 (the most I have played).

I also agree with other comments in this thread about Artichoke Joe's in San Bruno - plenty of action there.
