The best way to do this is for play money. Choose a mutually agreed upon 3rd party to hold proceeds in escrow ahead of time. - easiest way around to save 300 bucks.

I must say, this is brilliant.

Hi Michael,

I tend to side with the fact that it's going to be a very low percentage. I have run across many online players who claim to be making big bucks online as well as live, and many do not come onto this site. That does not mean they do not participate in RGP or other poker forums though.

the ss forum, with "good" being used in reference to the limits addressed, is pretty well stocked (and has more posters than the mid, high-stakes forum), so that tends to even out the relative weakness in the mid, high-stakes forum (I don't really know much about the micro stakes/stud/other poker forums), with the further caveat that I am judging frequent posters.

What do you mean by 2+2ers? I'd imagine most of them are aware of the discussion boards and have lurked at least a little for some period of time.

You'd like to know, out of all of the people that earn $10 an hour playing poker, how many of them regularly read the boards?

I'd like to know what percentage of all poker players make $10 an hour, $25, $50, and beyond.

This kind of question always comes up, and I've never seen a good answer, because there doesn't appear to be any real way to find out.

We could take a poll... but that would obviously be useless.

Anyone with access to the hands-played data at any of the online sites could easily answer this question. Of course no site would ever even think of doing this, as it would be bad, not only for business, but for the entire online poker industry.
