You don't really want them knowing that you are raising w/ any ace, do you?

Heads up, A-anything is extremely likely to be ahead of my opponent's hand. He's not folding an A anyways.

You'd be extremely surprised. The other night, I placed 3rd in the Bay101 Tuesday Midnight tournament. At the end, nobody had more than 5-6x the BB. I pushed all-in once with something I don't remember and the BB flashed an ace and folded (later said it was A7(!). Not the first time I have seen it. SossMan said he had seen similar things.

Wow! That is amazing. However, this is a limit tournament, so even a weak player with A-x is calling any raise.

Thanks for the comments.

Ah. Missed that. Yeah, you're probably getting called with any ace.

In general, I show both cards not just one. But I rarely show so its not a big issue.

When an opponent flashes one card, my assumption is a weak kicker.

What kind of tournament are you playing in where the final table is filled with all players so weak as to fall for that sort of thing?

Even if players don't derive information from the particular hands you show, it is a kind of "strong means weak" tell. It indicates to your opponents that you are making a lot of loose raises (and you don't want to be called or raised), if they can't figure that out already.
