Re: AKs against bison and CDC - get yer LAG on
1) There was a good chance both of them were full of it and this was going to be a pissing contest involving some pretty retarded hands, involving some pushing people off of hands.
I'm pretty sure this is the 2+2 motto. |

When I capped pre-flop, I knew there were going to be some fireworks on this hand. The rest of the table wisely got out of our way and left the three of us in a post-flop pissing contest to overrepresent and overplay our hands.
The flop came Ace-high and I naturally bet. Bison's flop raise seemed automatic - any two cards. CDC's coldcall was a bit worrying. I suspected he might have a hand. But then again, maybe not. I just called, expecting things to get sorted out a bit more on the turn. As expected, the real fireworks came on the turn. I bet out, hoping bison would raise and knock out CDC. Bison raised, hoping CDC would 3-bet and knock me out. CDC 3-bet, hoping I would cap and knock out bison. I just called, knowing that bison would cap and nobody was going anywhere. Given the turn action, I figured both the other Aces were out. I just hoped they weren't in the same hand. I started screaming "DIAMOND!!" at the computer. Everyone calmed back down on the river. Bison got his value bet in with AKo and CDC made the crying call with AQo. Bison and I chopped up CDC's money. Goofball scores: CDC 8/10 - 3-betting the turn with AQo bison 7/10 - capping the turn with AKo JSD 0/10 - perfectly played! |

I started screaming "DIAMOND!!" at the computer.
This is a proven method that works time and time again. Also, yelling out "Pair the board!!" to yourself, in your head, while playing live, will prove to be drastically +EV. |
