Re: when i played ss
Advice = Do read the Miller book. SSH, or IT, or whatever you want to call it.
Excellent info. Not really just for "Small" stakes. Really directed at loose games with bad players - at any limit. |

Re: Ed Miller is ruining my preflop statistics
[ QUOTE ]
Am trying to play the advice in SSH and now am seeing KJo, Q8s, 22 etc. YIKES! [/ QUOTE ] why do i have a feeling that you are sometimes playing these hands when you shouldn't be?? it's situation dependent. unless you are at a pretty goofy table, i suspect that your VPIP-25 indicates you are playing way too loose. regarding KJo, Q8s and 22. sometimes i will see the flop with these hands...other times i will be folding them. 2 limps and a raise and i have KJo. i'm out of there. if you have EVER cold-called with KJo you've made a mistake. a limp and a raise and it comes to me with 22 in the CO. Muck-o-rama!!! Ed is not making a loose-player out of you (or others). the mis-application of his concepts is. confirm some of your loose-calls with posts in the ML or SS forums. there are a lot of KJo, Q8s and 22 calls that some players make that they should not be making. conversely, there are also a lot of folds with these hands that they should not be folding. example - 22 on button. raised by EP and 3 players cold-call. you are okay to call 2-bets cold with this one. another example - 5 limpers and you have Q8s in LP or in the SB. call call call. |

Sorry for the late reply. Maybe these guys are better POST flop than average. [/ QUOTE ] Doubtful. They have just hit a run of cards and 500 hands is such a short period you cannot read anything into it. |
