I had almost the same thing happen to me on hand 3 of a UB sng. except I was the reraiser preflop with KK and the AA just called. I got allin on the flop when checked to me, but I think given the blind structure I could have bet out and folded to a raise. I think given the blind structure at stars in your situation betting 400 and folding to a raise is a consideration. you are still left with a reasonable 800. I think if you are just going to call preflop, this is the better play. calling preflop really just lets you get away from it it is unlikley that it will get you more money unless you flop a set.

1) The only thing I do different here is I reraise all-in preflop.
2) There is no stigma busting out 1st in a SNG. From an hourly rate perspective, it's a hell of a lot better than playing an hour and busting out on the bubble. Shake it off and start another one.
