start a private forum. didnt uw_madtown do that. seemed like a good idea but I forgot the URL

a content moderator would help too, rather than just one who locks contentless posts.

There is another thing that I'm guilty of and that many others are too. We're not elaborating our thoughts enough. We say "easiest value bet ever" or "clearest fold ever" or "standard" or "idiot" and don't say why. We should be. And we should especially not be making posts like this in a thread if we're the fifteenth person to do so. There's no point.

[/ QUOTE ]

Thank you for that bit.

Also, this is another strong reason to have a sticky FAQ here. It might discourage a lot of the less worthwhile posts ...

It's gotten pretty good lately. I know you have a job and all, and you're about due to quit again, but check it out when you have a chance.

I find some of it quite interesting. I think mostly none of it applies to the games I'm playing, but it does make me think.

SS sucks now

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmmm. Sounds familiar:
.
Clarkmeister Rant in Middle Limit
.
What's Wrong with this Forum? (NVG)
.
The Granddaddy of them All. (SS)
.
A previous SS solution: Bison's Guidelines

There are many other examples. It goes in cycles. Do what you can, but keep some perspective.
