Folding the turn would be just terrible. You often have 8 outs here.

Ah, my very first FYP.
You really think the Queens are outs often here?

[/ QUOTE ]

They're good against a set. This is a capped pot preflop. A nine is certainly possible, but not possibly certain.

I dont think you`ll need any help remembering not to fold in this situation next time. I know, it makes you sick to your stomach. I`ve done it, more than once, and so have many other people on this board. Learn from it and move on to the next hand.

The one thing that stood out for me in this hand after thinking about it is: What the hell did BB have that he would cap PF and then fold on the turn with that board getting 17:1!!?

Harv, how often do you estimate we're ahead on the flop? MY first instinct was to 3-bet, but if we discount the pf-capper to only raise AK like half the time here, we're a pretty big dog to his range. And we don't really clean up any outs by 3-betting here.

If we're raising, it seems like we're basically doing it for value. And I wonder how much value there is.

I mean, sure, BB folded the turn this time, so apparently he had pocket 6's or something, but he will frequently be ahead of us here, I think.

Plus, you have to wonder a little what SB liked enough to lead with despite the preflop action.

I would have 3 bet the flop. The hand would have played out differently had you taken contol of it.

To be results-oriented for a little bit, I think there's a good chance that, had Hero 3-bet the flop, SB would have capped.
