OK, but it seems like I read frustration coming out in both your original post and your response to me. I saw the smiley face after "guess what card came on the river," but there's something in there that seems like it's getting to you. If I'm reading something into this that isn't there, fair enough.

This too shall pass.

Veteran posters can ask questions, no? What does the title of his post mean?

"When you are a young kid a 14hr session is nothing."

Then why did he mention it?

"Veteran posters can ask questions, no?"

no. youve posted that same post many times. ive read it many times. it's old and a waste of time. suggesting the hero of the post is on tilt and making false reads because he's desperate is dumb.

"What does the title of his post mean?"

that he ran bad and he came here to complain a bit.

he was beat in the hand and made a nice laydown. the river card that came was lady luck slapping him in the face. he wasnt asking about comments on his play.

My guess is an Ace hit on the river, hence the kick me in the balls title of the post.

That would be the spit in the face.

Running into a flopped set... THAT was the kick in the balls!

Don't we have a bad beat forum for that? If not, we should.

"Then why did he mention it?"

cause 14 hours of running bad while playing good hurts. he was looking for a shoulder to cry on, not someone to suggest he misread the situation because he was too fed up to think straight anymore.

andy sometimes you really sound like tommy and it drives me nuts.

A little frusteration, maybe. Just because I had been doing major damage control all night, (I was 0/8 with AA-QQ and only got to showdown twice). And so after making another good fold on my last hand it was pretty sickening to see my ace on the river.

Basically, exactly what Mike said

"he wasnt asking about comments on his play."

-He asked, "what do you think of my line?"

"youve posted that same post many times. ive read it many times. it's old and a waste of time. suggesting the hero of the post is on tilt and making false reads because he's desperate is dumb."

Hogwash. When did I do that? Show me one post where I said hero is on tilt and making false reads because he's desparate.

Besides, why did the poster say he'd been playing for 14 hours? If there was no reason to say it, just general info., fine. But I questioned him about whether he thought it might be a factor. Otherise, why mention it? He said it wasn't. I take him at his word. But his view of things might not be as objective as others viewing it from a distance. Isn't that why we post here, to get others' view of things?

I agree that the poster felt he was running bad and came here to complain. Isn't that a sign of frustration? Doesn't a post with a title that talks about getting kicked in the nuts by the poker gods speak of frustration? And if that's in the post made after the fact, wouldn't it be sensible to question the poker's mental demeanor during the fact when it actually happened? He had already been oh for seven with big pocket pairs. I pointed out 14:1 and that if he felt he had only two outs, then he was correct to fold.

I was trying to be helpful, sorry if it didn't live up to your high standards.

Aren't we pathetic, sniping at each other like this, sitting in front of a machine on a fine Friday evening in paradise?
