FWIW (probably not much), I had a diehard Sooner fan tell me to put my whole bankroll on UCLA.

wouldnt this type of talk generally make me lean more towards betting on OU?

Looking over the lines for this weekend one stuck out at me.

Oklahoma +7 at UCLA

at first thought this looked like a steal to me even with Oklahoma not playing that great the first two weeks, but for this to be the line, either I'm just not thinking this through or somebody out there knows something I dont.

Discuss?

Just so I get this straight - are we talking about the same Sooners who lost to the Horned Frogs a couple of weeks back... the same Horned Frogs who lost to SMU the following week?

Just want to make sure I'm not laboring in an alternative universe...

Yes, generally. But I think his point was that people still see "OU" and associate it with the teams of the past few years. In reality, this is a team that got beat at home by a mediocre (at best) TCU team and struggled mightily at home with Tulsa for goodness sakes.

FWIW, the Daily Oklahoman reported this morning that Adrian Peterson will miss practice today (Tuesday) for missing classes. Peterson has run afoul of OU athletic department's class attendance policy.

Sooner fan here. The value in this line is under 52. OU's defense is quite strong, and their offense is quite bad. I would avoid the pointspread, as either team could win by two touchdowns. I do feel that OU will bounce back at some point this year, and they had a big moment near the end of last week's game. They led by 2 with 3:15 to go and had 4th and 1 at the Tulsa 41. Coach Stoops had called out their attitude the week before and they went for it on 4th down here, despite some offensive line woes. If they don't get it, Tulsa has 30 yards to go to kick the winning FG. Adrian Peterson ran for a 41 yd TD.

And PS AD will play this week.
