Ha! I was actually at that table last night and I just posted the hand. I didn't have a problem with yah taking a stab he could have hit the wrong button

My only regret is that I couldn't think of a particularly fishy thing to say...but I do think the table loosened up afterwards. A little table talk always helps.

Congrats, I hit a royal on Party as well. If you e-mail them with the hand number they will send you a free hat.

Do I get anything from there?!

Nice hand. I think I've played over 30K hands and have yet to hit one. Saw my first one last week which I lost to. I rivered a boat, bet out and got called(yes, called) by a royal.

O crap, I hit one about two weeks ago for the first time at Party and I have it saved somewhere in PT, if I still send it in could I get the hat?

Tiny pot, and you only used one card. I give it a 7.5.

Seriously, congrats! (I've never had one.)

Next time try to use both your cards.

Check/raise that river.

I don't get this advice, assuming it's serious. With the flop and turn checked through, what would make you think anyone would bet the river?

I would seriously consider betting the turn, though, with the second-nut flush draw (and a draw to the nut royal, heh). If everyone's a calling station, it's a bet for value (4 to 1). If everyone isn't, you're thinning the field in case you hit a jack on the river. If things break right everyone might fold to your bet, although that would rob you of the enjoyment of trying for the royal.

The most important argument for betting the turn: if you do hit your royal flush, you don't have to post it on 2+2 with a measly 4.5 BBet in the pot.

Hmmmm, this reminds me - people sometimes frame great hands like royal flushes. In fact my dad framed the best possible cribbage hand he was once dealt and has it in the basement. When I hit my first royal, I think I should print out the hand history and frame it.
