Re: If you\'re a FULL TIME professional, internet poker player...
[ QUOTE ]
How many hands do you play per month. If it's anything less than 50,000, feel free to give an explanation as to why you play the amount that you play. I suggest answering in the following format: 1. # hands played/mo. 2. game/stakes that you play 3. any additional information that you deem as helpful in explaining your work-load/habits. [/ QUOTE ] 50K hands is a lot. I think very few members of this forum could actually get over that 50K mark. Also, there are different ways to get there. I was 10 tabling the party 3/6 full for a while, and 50K was nothing. Then i started 8 tabling the 3/6 6m. With each step up, ive subtracted a table to improve play. Now, ive moved off the party network and am one tabling a higher stakes game and making more money playing fewer hands. peace john nickle |

Re: If you\'re a FULL TIME professional, internet poker player...
I'm constantly at 40k per month. I'd like to boost it to 60k, but I fall short every time. Oh well...I've just moved to 6 max, so you'd think that would help. It does....I work less now. Oh yeah....I'm 2/4 and below. I'm a rake/bonus whore. I like playing when loveline is on.
I don't play weekends much. |

Try getting a real 9 to 5 job and then you'll see what real work is like.

Try getting a real 9 to 5 job and then you'll see what real work is like. [/ QUOTE ] It consists of 80% non-work. You talk to coworkers, idle at the coffee machine, and you're not facing a salary deduction if you take a loooong dump. I'm reaching the conclusion that online poker is more like work than work was. For reference I was a programmer, and we had plenty of pre-release crunches. Even during those I worked less in a 12 hour day than I do in a 6 hour poker day. Way less. |

100-150k a month, 30/60 now, and 50/100 and 1/2 when it looks good. I'm a full time student too. Needless to say I don't have many friends or get out much.

I think you might have answered your own question on if he is a liar or a hero.
