Hand 1 is played like a donkey. I stopped reading after that.

You people are all so bitter. Don't hate.
I did not post any of these hands because I thought I played them well. In fact, I thought I made at least one mistake in all of them. The point was, despite my bad plays, my opponents miraculously managed to still find a way to play worse. |

Re: This is how to make money at SSNL
If I was to show a hand I thought I played well, I would show this one...
Villain was 58/10 Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter UTG+1 ($60.60) UTG+2 ($94.95) MP1 ($54.75) MP2 ($55) MP3 ($33.24) Hero ($58.85) Button ($48.25) SB ($20.50) BB ($49.50) UTG ($73.45) Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25. 6 folds, Hero raises to $1.75, Button calls $1.75, 1 fold, BB calls $1.25. Flop: ($5.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB checks, Hero bets $4, Button calls $4, BB folds. Turn: ($13.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button checks. River: ($13.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $15, Hero calls $15. Final Pot: $43.50 Villain shows [ Tc, 9s ] a pair of aces. Hero shows [ Jd, Jc ] two pairs, aces and jacks. Hero wins $41.35 from the main pot with two pairs, aces and jacks. Now flame me for using the bet pot button or being a calling station or whatever... |

Re: This is how to make money at SSNL
Hey everybody,
Once, I was in the big blind, and a shortstack pushed all-in ($7). It folded around to me. I called with pocket aces. He had A8 offsuit. The case A showed up on the turn! Now THAT is how you make money at SSNL. |

Re: This is how to make money at SSNL
My OP was a semi-joke response to another thread in the forum about how to win at SSNL. The point was if you can ever make a hand better than one pair you can bet very aggressively and people will pay you off. I play stupid, crazy LAG style, but at full-ring SSNL you can win a decent amount just by nut-peddling if that is your thing.

The danger is someone new to this forum might see your post and take it at face value since it purports that it is the way to make money at SSNL. |

Re: This is how to make money at SSNL
That's funny because:
a) it sounds like a self-glorifying "look at me and my big hands and how well I played them" thread. b) the way you played the first hand makes me picture you as a "learned from 'Live at the Bike' player." c) if you're trying to show that you can win by "nutpeddling," you've done a poor job by posting a hand where you open limped with JTo, a marginal holding, out of position. |
