Re: Hand Protection
[ QUOTE ]
Preflop was good. As said before, you have to be that flop. You were the aggressor pre-flop. If it checks through, you are giving infite odds to any K or Q to try to beat you. Gutshots get infinite odds also. The flush draw isn't going anywhere, so you have to extract value before the flush card comes. How many bets is the flush draw going to put in after the river card is a blank? None. Bet/3-bet the flop. I don't mind the 3-bet on the turn on that blank of a turn card. Though, if he caps, I'm going to have to check/call any non-heart river and expect to lose. [/ QUOTE ] The thing is, we're giving any pair or any draw odds to call anyway, no? They're getting 11:1 on my intial bet. I was going to c/r any late position bet, but when I saw an early position bet and alot of callers, I figured I could make draws and small pairs pay extra bets on the turn. I'm now thinking that this process was flawed, and I should have raised for value. Oh well |

Flush draws are not going away, even if a lp player bet and you check raised, so a flop bet is best, but I think you got that now. |
