You're going to get overflushed something along the lines of 2% of the time. Now you're going to have a higher propensity towards playing higher suited cards because you're generally tighter than the average party player, which will make you the overflusher more often than not, but being overflushed should be something remote in your mind. These numbers statistically mean little, but I'd had a flush 259 times, and 6 times have I lost by an overflush. the other 32 times I lost to either a boat or a 4-flush when a 1-carder outkicked me.

[/ QUOTE ] I usually tend to be a bit of a pussy on the river when I get 3 bet with out a nut like hand, but based on the play, if someone has a higher flush pay them off and say nice hand. Then think about whether he outplayed you. And how you will play it next time. |
