I'd be willing to act as your host while you are in Kansas City. There are 3 casino cardrooms here. Ameristar and Harrah's are about equal in size. The Isle of Capri is a waste of time and Argosy does not yet have a poker room. Ameristar offers Hold Em, Omaha and an occasional Stud game. Harrah's sticks to Hold Em, but they've got a much nicer room, friendlier dealers (IMHO), and more no-limit tables. They'll also create an interest list for pretty much any game you want.

Send me a private message if you decide to come this way.

When you head through Iowa, Prairie Meadows has a decent room - and it's right off I-80 in Des Moines, so plenty of places to stay for cheap.

The room shows decent games - lots of good low-limit tables, some 1/2 and 2/5 NL, and a 5/10 PL half and half game that is purported to be soft (although I've never played in it). On the weekends, games go up to 15/30 mixed, usually at least 6/12 LHE on weekdays.
