Re: Best Comedy of the Last 30 years - Elite Eight
Does AMC know about this poll? They ran Airplane & Office Space back to back last night. Airplane still makes me laugh out loud.

[ QUOTE ] The ignorable offense for this round is a vote for Groundhog Day instead of Grail. C'mon people, help me reach my goal of 100! [/ QUOTE ] I've made the list!! I voted Groundhog not because I think Groundhog is that great of a movie but because Monte Python is a brick of sh!t. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. I can't stand Monty Python. |

Re: Best Comedy of the Last 30 years - Elite Eight
I wish I could agree with you. I guess I had Holy Grail ruined for my by being able to recite the movie before I even saw the movie. It had been quoted to death even before I saw any of it, and all the magic was lost. Now hearing people quote it just makes me want to vomit.

Airplane and Office Space were on back to back last night on AMC. Guess the programming director is on 2+2.

Man, I wish. Being the program director for AMC would be pretty close to a dream job to me.

Re: Best Comedy of the Last 30 years - Elite Eight
Princess Bride beating Spinal Tap? Time to boot that non-comedy out.
Marty DiBergi: It's very nice. Nigel Tufnel: You know, just simple lines intertwining, you know, very much like - I'm really influenced by Mozart and Bach, and it's sort of in between those, really. It's like a Mach piece, really. It's sort of... Marty DiBergi: What do you call this? Nigel Tufnel: Well, this piece is called "Lick My Love Pump". |

I am quite relieved to see Spinal Tap in the Elite 8.
Armageddon was delayed with Happy Gilmore going down the crapper... |

Wow. Bizarre that the elite 8 was so much easier than the sweet 16.
