I would do 25NL with that amount. You have 10 - $10 buyins.

I have never gone on a losing streak of more than $30 at 25NL, with a $10 buyin, over >10,000 hands.

I guess it depends on your experience though and what site you play at. There are lots of weak tight players at full tilt, and you can get a $100 bonus for $100 deposit, to be cleared within 60 days. It is about 35 hours of 4 tabling NL25.

even 25$NL tables would be too much for a mere 100$ bankroll.
Say your winrate is 5 PTBB/100h and your std dev 30PTBB/100h, you have a 33% risk of going broke with such a low roll
(i made the calculations on http://pokerslam.free.fr/Intervalle%...nce%20An.html)

and in fact the risk of going broke EXCEEDS 33% because the calculator supposes your winrate is CONSTANT, which it is not (you can sometimes face good competition or not play your A game and your risk of ruin is then higher)

erratum: your risk of ruin is 11% (100$ is a 200 PTBB roll at NL25$)

Personally, I think anything less than 25nl for building a roll is a waste of time. Just play the 25s like a complete rock, and you shouldnt have to worry about going broke. Once you get 10 buyins, learn to play.

Quick question - if you've been succesful at live games, how come you're only playing with a $100 bankroll? Is it because you want to get a better feel for (or increase your trust in) online play?

Personally, I think $0.10/$0.25 is a little high for a $100 bankroll. The usual "rule" is to have a bankroll of about 20 buy-ins. I think this is pretty conservative, especially since it's not like you're playing high-stakes poker or trying to make a living at it. So, maybe about 15 buy-ins is OK.

You're better off getting your feet wet at maybe the $0.5/$0.10 tables; buy in for about $5-$7 depending on how the stacks look at the tables. Once you have a bankroll of about $150-$200 and feel like you can consistently beat the lower levels, you can move on to the $0.10/$0.25, buying in for maybe $15-20, moving back down if you lose too much, etc. (I wouldn't recommend $0.01/$.02 since those stakes are so low, that the games there have more entertainment value.)

You can also consider using the short-stack strategy at low-limit tables. I once used it on NL25 to clear one of those bonuses that require me to play X number of hands. I played as many tables as I could using it, and it took about an hour to clear the bonus and I also earned a nice profit at the tables.
