Default Re: Betting Boxing Question

I had the over at 10 1/2 and the fight was stopped with 30 secs left in the 10th and I didn't win... What's up with that? Does the over not count in this situation if fight was stopped?

I'm a total boxing noob...

I think you got screwed if that was the situation. A fight being stopped and a winner declared is final action.

Indiana is saying otherwise in this thread, Slacker.

I prefer your explanation in this case, obviously, but it looks like he is correct, since that is how your wagers have been graded. Mine was on Pinnacle.

I just read in the other boxing thread that the fight has to go to the 11th round to win the 10 1/2 over according to the poster "Indiana".

Duh. I am sorry. Your correct. I wasn't thinking. If you have 10.5, the round does have to be completed and the remaining 1/2 round would be 1:30 of the 11th.
Sorry about that. I knew what I meant but fcked it up.

Here is the official ruling.
[ QUOTE ]
If you wanted to bet the over/under on rounds, you are betting the fight will be or won't be stopped before a certain point. If you bet it would go 10.5 rounds, the fight would have to complete a full 10 rounds, plus one minute 30 seconds of the 11th round.
