Re: QQ Limp re-raise from SB
I like the limp raise, a lot of people will raise a SB veeeery light in the BB, this helps build a bit of a pot which is very good in blind battles because people are far more likely to take one pair pretty far. Personally I would rather bet the flop and check the turn, but I think the line he took is a very good way to represent a missed big A and almost any pair will look you up here.

Re: QQ Limp re-raise from SB
Looks good. Against some opponents I bet flop, against some I don't. Were you planning to c/r flop or c/c?

Re: QQ Limp re-raise from SB
I might bet less on the river or check the river and induce a bluff rather than bet out. I think most of the time with a 2/3 pot bet your getting called by a hand that beats you here like a 9 or a flush. You beat 77,88,TT,JJ which you may get calls from but other than that there isn't much out there. He may bet with more hands than he will call with here, like betting the scare flush, or just trying to take the pot away. Of course if he pushes your going to have to put in reads you have to work in your decision.
On the flop I like both a check or a bet depends on what my opponents style was like. If you are checking you really want him to bet. You get more calls here on the flop with cards to come than on the river. Preflop I don't think there is anything wrong with limping. If you think it is likely he will raise I like the play. Turn looks fine. |
