I have built numerous computers and yours is simply not worth upgrading. Your biggest problem is CPU power and upgrading a CPU isn't exactly the easiest upgrade. Mainly because it can be hard just to know which CPU to upgrade to as the socket types change almost annually. Older CPUs can also be fairly expensive.
Save up some more cash. For $500 or less you can get a decent new computer (with monitor) from Dell which will blow yours away. Look for 512MB of ram and stay away from the celeron cpus and you should be fine.
