There are some mid-limit games (20/40-ish) where KQo UTG isn't a great hand, but most live games, esp. 9/18 and below, KQo is definitely playable in any position.

I'd make a flop bet here. The board is paired, so the flop can only hit one of 5 cards in the deck. A lot of live players fold to flop bets on 884 boards but not on 864 boards. You'll get 5-handed down to 2 or 3.

My immediate thought is why no flop bet? But then again, why do we want to fold people on this flop? Any K or Q is going to be dominated unless they cold-called with AK or AQ, in which case I doubt they fold the flop anyway. K-high isn't going to be good very often even if we get it down to 2 or 3 players on the turn. Also, a K or Q isn't going to give someone an OESD on the turn if they do hit.

This is usually an auto-bet on the flop for me, but now that I think about it, you have more FE on the turn with the bigger bet.

When I saw the thread I assumed that you would chime in with a "fold preflop."

Yeah, definitely not 8 handed. A case can be made for folding UTG in a 10 handed game.

Raise pre flop, these muppets will call 1 bet they will call 4 cold, may as well get dead money in the pot,

check/call flop

check/call turn, depending upon how many people see the river

lead the River if you hit, check fold if you dont, Not sure about if you get raised wether to fold or not, player dependant

There just isnt much you can do, at this stage you are behind all the Ax that is out there and now maybe drawing slim to KJ QJ

I dont see any other way to play it.
