Hand 2 - Moncada has the button in seat 2, he raises to $18,000, and Oku reraises all in for $44,000, and Moncada calls. Moncada has As-8c, while Oku dominates him preflop with pocket kings (Kd-Kc). The flop comes 8s-8h-3h, and Moncada has taken a big lead by flopping trips. The turn card is the 6s, and Oku needs to catch a king to stay alive. The river card is the 7h, and Yoshitaka Oku is eliminated in ninth place, earning $19,870.

This has been one crazy aggressive tourney. Picking up right where it left out yesterday. People are busting all over the place.

I've read in the zoo that pocket Kings never hold up at the Rio, that's why I don't play there anymore.

The button will start in seat 1 with Steve Hudak, and the current level of blinds has just begun, so there will be 90 minutes of $3,000-$6,000 blinds, and players can call the $6,000, or make it $12,000-$21,000 to go.

Don't they sometimes allow for 4x-5x BB open-raises in PLHE events?

(If so, when?)

Hand 11 - Moncada has the button in seat 2, Moncada raises to $18,000, Traniello reraises to $57,000, and Moncada reraises enough to put Traniello all in, and Traniello calls. Moncada shows As-10s, while Traniello has pocket sevens (7s-7d). It's a race situation, and the flop comes Qh-7h-3h, and Traniello has flopped a set. Moncada needs a runner-runner straight to win, or a runner-runner flush on the board to chop. The turn card is the Js, and Moncada can now catch one of four kings to win this pot. The river card is the Ac, and Marco Traniello doubles up in chips.

Boy, talk about a couple of guys not respecting each other's raises! I know there's some steal re-steal stuff there, but I would think the rest of the table was probably a little surprised to see that neither of them had a HUGE hand.

Moncada I believe is an infrequent 2+2 poster, according to El Diablo.
