A. Agree with the others. If the dealer won't, you call the floor. Hold up the game until one shows up.

B. What was the problem?
Proper action should have been: You check, he pushes, you muck. Same difference.
I assume if you got the floor, the dealer would have said you checked, and he bet (I know you didn't, but you know what the dealer was going to say...).
The ruling you wanted? That you could check and he had to check behind you because he had acted out of turn? You wanted a free card?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well I eventually got a floor over after the hand was over and he ruled that I had the option of killing the betting for the rest of the hand or making him go all-in. So I could have essentially made him check the hand down or honor his all-in. We both showed our hands after I folded and the hand calculator on card player said the percentages were 49.7% vs. 50.3%...I had 88, middle pair on a J high board and he had an open-end straight draw and flush draw

Me; 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
him: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

board: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

look it up, it really is 49.7 vs. 50.3
would have been a hell of a showdown

Interesting. Must be because it is NL.

me: "Will you please call the floor?"
dealer: "No."
me: ....... "FLOOOOOOR!"

[/ QUOTE ]

I did exactly that but when he said no he burned and turned the river card and my seemingly friendly opponent angle shot me on the river in the meantime claiming he had the ace for the straight anyhow so don't worry. And I said yeah me too and showed my hand and he said oh actually I had pocket queens and mucked his hand.

Was this at Prarie Nights or where? The ND casinos here are so bad. I'm a B&M noob but I was expecting they would have at least 1 mid stakes game available, if not a high one..... I was dissapointed. The tournaments they offer are beyond horrible too. Don't base casinos on ND crap.
