This really is a simple hand, min raise is horrible, just push. If he raised on the flop, checked behind on the turn, and reraised the river, cmon, doesnt get easier. [/ QUOTE ] |

Wasn't a minraise, actually a halfway split between a minraise and all in but yet again, yes, I made a fundamental mistake and left $250 on the table.

I like villans check on the turn. If a T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] came, would he not have gotten you to fire into him again?

On the river? Possible but an A is equally likely as a 10 and the only hands I'd likely have that beat him on the turn are a few possible sets, AA, AK and oddball 2 pair and against those he could counterfeit and has flush outs. I'd likely have played the flop the same in his shoes but I'd usually fire at that turn against an aggro CO raiser.

What % of the time do people check-raise this turn all in if he bets say 400? Or is that just stupid and should only be done against aggro opponents who call with air on the flop to see what you do on the turn?

Looks like most posssible scenario is he has a smaller flush, so I'd push all-in. [/ QUOTE ] |

I do it but only very, very rarely against opponents that are more likely to know that when I usually do this I've got a hand. Basically I look at my watch and if the seconds are 01 or 02 and I have a decent # of outs, hopefully some of them nut outs with a moderate stack size, it's go time. But I have to know they are capable of laying down a hand.
Oddly enough I was somewhat seriously considering it here since he'd been pretty merciless about reraisng me on the flop in the short time he'd been at the table, if I had less than the nut flush say Q-10 and I'd had those 4 gutshot outs then I'd probably move it to 01-10 on the watch and then see what it says. The worst part about this reasoning is that I did get exactly what I wanted on the river and then I didn't maximize my $ which is why everyone is deservedly flogging me here. |

Well I don't know if it's #1 with me but in the long term this sort of mistake probably costs me 10-15% of my winrate so it's very expensive..
