Default Re: Stu Ungar - how many WSOPs did he play in?

[ QUOTE ]
I just finished watching this movie, and it was pretty bad. I just had to tell someone. Very disappointing. The cheesy pop music throughout was sickening.

I actually enjoyed listening to some of the music. I was thinking that the soundtrack would be worth listening to.

However, I agree with most of the posters in that the movie was mediocre at best. I think they did a decent job of portraying his life to the general public in the alotted time but could've done a lot more with the film had they really put some thought into it. Seems like most of the scenes were taken in one shot and just kinda thrown together to pitch it to consumers.

My favorite scene was the Doyle Brunson stand-in that Stuey played against for his 1st WSOP bracelet because I remember stuey actually beat him with a turned straight to crack Doyle's 2 pair. Funny scene.
