Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
The turn check is horrendous.

Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
Why do you think he calls you on the turn with a pocket pair? The 8 paired, you have the 10's and he calls with an ace....

Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
I love how no one in this forum can elaborate unless they are insulting someone - it really helps people learn what they've done wrong and improve...
I've laid out my resoning - I'm losing one BB from a flush, he's unlikely to have an A, and I'm gaining 1BB from a whiffed hand (bluff), and 1 and probably 2 from a middle pair/pp (which would fold to a turn bet). Go for it paluka, and whoever posted the beautiful response *yawn*. |

I hope you're still at 30-60 if I ever move up there.

Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
You are oversimplifying your opponent's play. He might checkraise the turn with a flush draw. He might have an ace and was planning on checkraising the turn. He might have and ace and would have called down but he is smart enough to fold now to your river raise. Playing fancier doesn't make you better.

Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
I mean he'd fold a pp on the turn, he wouldn't call if I bet. He would have raised an A, and I guess you're right that I missed two bets from an 8.

[ QUOTE ]
So how am I not getting the most from a weak pair while getting more than I should from a draw? [/ QUOTE ] First, you are putting wya to much emphasis on getting money out of draws. Second, by checking the turn you get nothing from the draws because draws check-fold the river unimproved. Needless to say your rationale seems confused. I could go on and on about you missing bets from such and such hands hands SB could hold, but I won't. |

Re: Party 30/60, pretending to be McDermott
I miss one big bet (which in the end I made one extra, but just because of what he held), and the 3/6 guy takes a shot at me - damn this forum is harsh. Good job making a constructive post.

Allright, makes sense. Thanks for a good post.
First time I've tried this, and now it'll be the last. |
