It did but I decided against it. He's not laying down anything I don't have beat. And you can be sure he'll cap it with a set. I think 3-betting would just be chip spewing. It might get an additional BB out of a flush draw, but that's about it.

Yeah I thought about that excessive action too. The only thing that concerns me is that you're often gonna be played at real hard with a one pair hand whereas someone w/ an AF of 1.8 or so isn't gonna push as hard and force you to make difficult decisions.

I def. think it could go either way, just throwing around some thoughts.

I agree a 3-bet is risky, but he may have been giving you just 1 more test. I rarely worry about being wrong when holding such a monster heads-up, since it rarely will be a catastrophe if he caps. On the plus side, you'll also gain a bet when he does have a hand and you complete.
