Is the answer to my question Jonathan (don't call me Jon)Paplebom? He sure looked good last night, but a rookie closer? Looks like no other choice right now because I hate the "committee" thing.

The answer to your question is that the Red Sox aren't ditching the committee thing after 1 outing, but Timlin is by far their best reliever, right now.

Timlins stats are very deceptive. Check out inherited runners scoring. Not good.

I still don't understand why they bring in Timlin with runners on. He should only start innings period.

I was thinking about this yesterday. His ERA is under 2.00 I think, and yet it seems like everytime he goeos out there he's giving up runs.
