Even though you only have $200, I highly recommend joining at least 2 sportsbooks. Pinnacle is an excellent choice. For the other, I'd recommend either Bowman's or Sports Interaction. The lines at these two books usually differ quite a bit from Pinnacle.

I am going to disagree with you here about Pinnacle. They charge $15 (maybe 30) for withdrawals less than $300. Even with their reduced juice, the minimal bets he will have to make and the fee, will basically make this place around -110 per each bet he makes. Plus, they don't offer a deposit bonus.

Since the OP has a limited bankroll I would recommend Bodog and Bowmans. They both have bonuses that are easy to clear and if he loves non-widely available lines he will have many to choose from. Plus, the withdrawals are free.

Sorry, did not know about Pinnacles withdrawal fees.

I still don't think Bodog/Bowman's are best together. The lines are too often similar to each other. I will plug Mansion really quick. Their lines often seem closer to the Pinnacle side plus they offer reduced juice. I don't know about withdrawal fees.

There are no withdrawal fees for mansion. You will have to show id though. And you are right -104 on the exchange is nice. But, they also don't have a bonus and the lines are real sharp. Whereas with Bodog and Bowmans, you will get a bonus and the greatest lines in the world. I have seen some ridiculous stuff this season. Like at PIN the line will be +6.5 and at Bowmans +8. You gotta love that. That on top of the bonus is great. There is one caveat, once you start getting into the $200-$300 range at Bowmans and Bodog and are winning, you will be switched to a sharp line. They are notorious for dealing two lines. But, their "square" lines are usually the right side to bet; i.e. mainly underdogs, which the OP should be doing anyways.

Here is what I do: I use Mansion for my overnights, because of the reduced juice (you must move quick). Generally these overnights are the same sides the public will bet on. I just usually get it 1-2 points better than the do. I will also, use Bowmans, but they are sometimes shaded against me because they are anticipating line movement. For NHL though, BET 365 seems to move the slowest at night.

So, all that being said, I think he should deposit $200 into Bodog and get the 10% bonus. He then needs to make sure he doesn't ever bet a line worse than what he could have gotten. Once he has cleared that bonus hit Bowmans and do the same thing. Then go back to Bodog and keep hitting their bottomless bonus until they take it away from him.

But, this is the key, he is not going to get to bet on as many favorites, because both those books shade towards the favs. But, that means he just doesn't bet it. When I first started I was at Bodog. Sometimes there was a side I liked at PIN for a point less, but I just didn't bet it at Bodog. It is all about value, not placing bets (that was not directed to you DougOzzzz. BTW, if you ever argue with me again you will lose a "z" and if you really piss me off I will re-arrange all the letters).

That is the point of getting an account at Mansion. You have 1 book with "sharp" lines and 1 book with "square" lines. The sharp books aren't always right (though usually they are, in my opinion). If you have accounts at both a sharp (with reduced juice) and a square book, you end up eliminating much of the small amount of juice there is. In fact, sometimes the juice works in YOUR favor, as syg and I have noticed with a slew of profitable middles recently.

Is NOBODY going to offer to refer this young man (or be referred by him) ?

Allow me to start the bidding.

I'll pledge the referrer's portion (as in my end) to charity - all of it.

Anyone wanna top that ?

If discussing referals is prohibited here I apologize and rescind the offer.
