It's human nature to be protective of children, period. Just the scenarios you worry about might be different for boys and girls. For boys I'd worry about some showing off/posturing incident escalating into a stabbing or worse.

I don't have kids, but The Vibesgirl has three, two of one and one of the other. From what I know of them and of her comments, Swede is absolutely correct here, and it's not just men that find daughters harder to raise.

I grew up with 2 younger sisters. Both of them got pregnant at 15. One had an abortion, the other kept the baby (he's 6 now).

Kinda off topic, but my friends and I (college students) pondering a question relating to daughters. If you could only have one, would you rather your daughter be smart or hot?
