Re: Flop with OK & FD4 - call or raise?
I raise this preflop. Call the flop bet and hope somebody check raises so you can pull a call/3-bet line. The benifit of raising here is if you think you can clean up A outs and of course getting a free card, but considering your relative position I think more is gained by calling.

Raise. You want AQ and AK to fold.

I think there is more value in keeping everyone around than trying to clean up outs. IMO a hand like AK or AQ is not likely to be around anyway as there was not preflop raise.

Re: Flop with OK & FD4 - call or raise?
I think raising here is bad. You WANT these players to make a mistake and call with really weak draws. You want to keep everyone in the hand except for bigger aces, and I think you're doing more to encourage mistakes by calling than you are by trying to fold out aces by raising. The pot isn't gigantic yet so it should be built by keeping people in as opposed to shutting people out for slightly more money from those who do call.
also, calling here may encourage an early position player to call and donk the turn. That would be really juicy because if there's still at least 4 or 5 players in you can raise for value on the turn - a far easier way to clear out those aces anyway. |
