i use "drawing dead" every so often, and the +/- EV (but i get weird looks).

sometimes when i'm upset w/ someone, I'll say, "you think i'm bluffing, but i flopped the nuts."

I used EV in a sociology class...everyone stared blankly at me (we were talking about probability, too!)

Me and a couple of my 2+2 friends often call 'fish' a naughty name ... 'fvcktards.'

So, when we're at work or see someone do something we think is really, really stupid or uncalled for, we say, 'What a fvcktard.'

Outside of that, when someone asks me if I want to go out and hit the bars, sometime I say, 'I'm all in.'

I know. I'm a nerd.

I frequently respond to any tale of woe by saying "yeah, that's a bad beat".

i used to a lot. I remember one time when my love of poker was at its peak, I was giving a friend a relationship advice. I said she was pot committed and had to call it down. She liked the analogy. Since I have cut down to just EV, and nice hand once in a while.

real funny one i just read in my friend's profile:

(frat/sorority event he's talking about)
"I am actually looking forward to the exchange. I am going to get 2 40s preflop, 4 long island ice teas on the flop, and hopefully a bitch on the turn and river."
