no....there is no long run in a tourney. and your chips are worth more than in a ring game....because theyre limited. BUT, sometimes you gotta take a shot at a draw....nature of the game....you cant grind in a tourney and make serious money (top 3) youll see players overplaying hands all the time....ever see a guy go allin with AA post flop, even though its obvious he's beat? love those guys... i practice in online fake money tourneys all the time. and try out different things...many times hands id play much differently in a limit game, im dumping in n/l.....someone goes allin, you have no implied odds against that player. BUT thats where possible side pots come in if others are in the hand....you still will usually play draws tighter than normal...which can be tough to get used to.. for better info/ideas...id suggest reading sklankys tourney book...ive only read a little of it, but im sure its light years ahead of that piece of crap suzuki book.... b |
