Downswings really suck, I was playing last night and was up like 50BB's at 1/2 and kept playing b/c the tables were so good, and lost pretty much all of it. And I still get depressed about them even though I'm winning at 3BB/100 over 54K hands. Just gotta hang in there, realize that you're a winning player and try to play well. The money will follow.

I gotta reload! I hate reloading and think I have done it only once in 50k hands!

Wow. You must be the greatest player EVAR. Or just have a big aversion to pain when you get unlucky on table

I think I'm going to give it 15-30 more minutes before I lock it. Tiltaholic told me he's going to work on drafting a form letter official response to these kinds of threads. They're all pretty much the same. They all get pretty much the same responses, albeit with varying degrees of nastiness towards OP.

If you want to rant w/o it getting locked or getting smacked with the form letter, do it in the NC thread.

in the spirit of understanding i will ridicule you in a good natured way. then maybe i'll go read the hands you cite.

TlR - I whine about a brutal session that we have all had.

[/ QUOTE ]

you seem rational so far.

[ QUOTE ]
blah blah blah... becuase I completely convinced that Absolute poker hates me, my family, my pets, and probably at this very moment is plotting to burn my house to ground and find out where my grandparents are buried so they can descrate their memories.

[/ QUOTE ]

why does the human brain insist on attributing causation to meaningless coincidences. what does absolute poker have to do with anything?

[ QUOTE ]
hands...blah blah blah...
WHOAH!
SLOW DOWN!!
What just happend. I just lost Aces and Kings in a three hand span and am down 25BB and Donk1 is constantly chirping about whatever. I gotta reload! I hate reloading and think I have done it only once in 50k hands!

[/ QUOTE ]

ok, right about now i need to smack you with the whiny bitch stick. if aces get cracked and kings get cracked why can't both get cracked. EACH HAND IS INDEPENDANT. you hate reloading? poor you. you've never done it before? i submit that you've either been running EXTREMELY WELL FOR YOUR ENTIRE POKER CAREER, you've been playing horrible poker this whole time, or you are playing semantics because you usually buy in for 500 bb or something. anyway...

[ QUOTE ]
more blah blahs...OK STOP THE F-ING TRAIN. I am down 32BB! I have never once been down 30BB. My previous worst session (coincedentally, I think not) was the just the other night at Absolute where I was down 21BB at my worst).

Now this isnt becuase I am great player or anything. Its mostly becuase I typically keep my sessions to under an hour and its hard to lose that much in an hour with tight play.

But seriously -32BB on one table is huge for me. Probably akin to a much larger number to others who play many more hands and longer sessions then me.

[/ QUOTE ]

this is nonsense. it doesn't matter how long a session is or how many tables one plays. 30 bb is 30 bb. you've never had a 30 bb <begin finger quoting motions> QUOTE downswing END QUOTE? what is that? so if you end a session by losing 15 bb though still up for the night, and then start a session by losing 15 bb, that is different somehow?

[ QUOTE ]
So all this whining boils down to this question. When you are in a rut like this on a specific table, is it time to leave even if you arent on tilt?

[/ QUOTE ]

you are so obviously on tilt. end of story. it happens.

30BB is nothing in the grand scheme of things, you shouldn't be worried about losing it, if you are playing close to perfect poker

I agree, and this is bad, bad news for you: the card randomizers for all of the poker servers communicate with each other (much like my Tivo tells my best friend's Tivo that I record Trading Spaces), so now the word is out on you and you're effed wherever you go. Quit poker.

The good news is that the card randomizers for blackjack are looked down on by the card randomizers for poker (it's just SOOOOOOO EASY to gin up a game where you're only dealing 15 cards a hand!), so you might be able to find a home at one of the blackjack sites.
