Default Re: Things I enjoyed about the weekend

- The 2 hours that started when I ran into PJN and rmarotti outside the Bellagio pokerroom and ended when we made our way to the Wynn after a stop at the Dennys in Casino Royale.

- Getting up on Monday morning to find 3 2p2ers, a drunk local in for a grand, and a drunk English guy called we named Cufflinks in the worst 4/8 game in the universe. (local and 2p2ers were sauced, but playing well, horrible game, but amazingly fun)

- Check raising the flop, betting the turn after I picked up an OESD, and betting the river knowing the local was going to fold a better ace high. After I told him what I had he said "I'm the only person on this table good enough to call you with ace high there and I didn't" and then went on a happy kind of steam for 30 minutes.

- Goblinmason and I getting giddy because of a hand where I only put money in when I was ahead and folded when I was behind. I won so many Skalansky bucks on that hand.

- Hitting my 3 outer to fill up on the river to crush the soul of the only non 2p2 guy at our table on Thrusday. (AK vs. A9 on a A9xAK board where multiple bets went in on every street).

- Craftsteak!

- The fact that I couldn't walk into a card room without somebody I didn't know going "DIDS!".

- Just generally meeting everybody, people were so universally cool, and I had a fantastic time.

- There's more, but like, I forget things w/o sleep.

I call shinanigans. When I sat down I straddled several times and ran limps w/j9o and other assorted cards. Plus, I bet 3bet reprocess on the flop w/middle pair after he 3bet me.

- Meeting Entity and finding out he is a rock at live poker.

- Losing Sthief at Drai's and finding out he got lost at Bally's for 2 hours thinking it was the Bellagio in a drunken stupor.

- Losing Gonores at Drai's and finding out he managed to get to his home with no recollection of how and without his car.

- Coming back from Drai's with Bicyclekick and Schneids and listening to them talk drunken poker strategy vs their 150/300 or whatever stakes opponents online.

- Steakhouses.

- The game I invented in the home game we had in our Bellagio room - 4 card double draw high with a community river.

- 10/20 mixed games at Wynn 3 handed for many hours with no recollection of any of it thanks to scotch - played every hand and only lost 100 bucks.

- Getting angry in same mixed games because I couldn't straddle in stud games.

- 40/80 2-7 triple draw at Bellagio + running good.

I was oppisite you on the table and trying to take your moneys. You kept screwing up everyones name. but at least you tried.

That game was violently swingy - you should learn to fold more in razz, and i should learn to fold more in omaha.

I have to say my favorite part was seeing my brother and girlfriend, both pretty new players, BOTH winning in the same no limit game I was losing in, and that this happened TWICE.

It was also funny as hell making the limo driver stop at a ghetto convenience store because the craps fest people needed more beer.

Also, the generosity (if not the behavior ) of everyone that showed up for Magoo Fest was fantastic.
